Author Biography
Chris Wormell was born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, in 1955. On leaving school in 1973, he studied painting with his father, L.J.W. Linsey. He took up wood engraving in 1982, and became a full-time illustrator a year later. In addition to his children’s books, Chris undertakes other illustration work including advertising campaigns, packaging and, issued in January 2005, a set of stamps featuring farmyard animals for the Royal Mail. He lives in London with his wife and their three children.
