A: Friends Of Books is an online book rental library, a.k.a circulating library or lending library. Rent a book without going to a bookstore or a public library and get them delivered to your home. You can choose from thousands of fiction and non fiction books. It's like a public library, only more convenient. You browse books online, pick the ones you like and we will send them to you. Our mission is to make reading an easier, enjoyable experience for book lovers across India.

A: We have thousands of books and new titles are added every single day. Our books are hand picked, not just in terms of titles we catalogue but also in the quality i.e condition of the books we keep. We work closely with publishers, journalists and assorted other experts who are also "friends of books" to keep our collection top-notch. Best of all, our subscribers (read REAL readers) send us book requests and suggestions all the time too.
So NO, we don't have a gazillion books and we can't promise you the moon (or the Rose Garden for that matter!) but what we can assure you is that you will find our collection satisfying, exciting, challenging and intriguing. Anything short of these high standards belongs rightfully with our hardworking neighborhood raddiwala.

- Register with FriendsOfBooks.com Library to create your account.
- Browse/search books you would like to read, and add them to your Bookshelf. It is recommended that you keep at least 10 books in your Bookshelf.
- We will contact you to verify your address and the date from when you would like to start the membership.
- Your first set of books will be delivered to the Shipping Address that you give us when you register.
- Once you are done with the first set of books, go to www.friendsofbooks.com and navigate to "My Bookshelf" tab and click on "Ready for Pickup" button
- We will send you your next set of books within three business days and get the ones you are done with picked up.(If you are a Rest of India subscriber who has chosen the Self Return option, we will send your next set as soon as we receive the ones you have returned to our address).

A: Bookshelf is the list of books that you want to read. Books in the Bookshelf are given a Priority, i.e. the order in which you would like to read the books. It is recommended that you keep at least 10 books in your Bookshelf.

A: Information about your chosen books is displayed in "My Bookshelf" tab. Here you will see a list of books in your Bookshelf, along with options to reprioritize the books and even remove a book from the Bookshelf.

- To add a book to your Bookshelf, browse/search a book and click on "Add to Bookshelf" button.
- To remove a book, click on the delete icon on the same row as the book on the Bookshelf.
- To rearrange books in the Bookshelf, you have four options
- Move to First - Move this book to the top of the Bookshelf.
- Move one Up - Move this book one level up in priority.
- Move one Down - Move this book one level down in priority.
- Move to Last - Move this book to the end of the Bookshelf.

Q: What if I want to read a book that's not in the Library catalogue?
A: Just send us an email at cs@friendsofbooks.com or fill the form on Contact Us page. Please mention the title and author of the book. If the book is available in the market, and meets our procurement criteria, we will get it and inform you. You will be the first member to read that book.

A: You may like a book so much you want to buy it. Or you may want to gift a book to a friend/child/colleague/boss/niece/nephew/parent...you get the picture! Now, we can save you a trip to the mall. Just buy it from the Bookstore, or send us an email with the name of the book that you want to buy. This can be a book you've seen in our catalog, or elsewhere. We will source the book and get it to you asap. When the book is delivered, you can pay the delivery person just like you do for your subscription. Simple! AND it gets better...you get great discounts off the market price, plus free delivery.
Of course despite our best efforts we may find that the book you asked for is out of print, out of stock or just not available. If that's the case, we will let you know too. At this time this book buying facility is available only to our subscribers.

A: After you register with FriendsOfBooks, we will give you a welcome call within 1 working day to confirm your membership details, and also answer any questions you may have. If we are able to confirm your membership before 2 PM on a working day, we will hand over the books to our logistics partner on the same day. Otherwise the books are sent out the next working day. After receiving the books, our logistics partner takes 2-3 working days to deliver the books to you.
Similarly, when you click on "Ready for Pickup", and your delivery request is received before 2 PM on a working day, we will hand over the books to our logistics partner on the same day. A: If you enjoy FriendsOfBooks, you may want to share the good news with your friends and family. When the person you refer joins and pays their first fee, a bonus of Rs. 100/- is automatically applied to your membership fee in the following month. So if you pay Rs. 200 every month, you'll have to pay only Rs. 100/- the month your friend joins. If two of your friends join that month you pay Rs. ZERO!
